Rašín

The story of a man who managed to realise his dream of an independent state despite the monarchy and the attempts to take refuge under the wings of Tsarist Russia, and who also wrote the text of the first law of the newly established Czechoslovakia. In the film, Kramář and Rašín clash in opinion, yet both come together in the same prison cell and eventually in the government of the newly formed republic. Tomáš Garrique Masaryk and Edvard Beneš are most often associated with the latter, while other, equally important figures remain in their shadows.
